SCK CEN is a nuclear research center with a unique infrastructure specialised amongst others in the biological impact from radiation.
We produce isotopes (Molybdeen 99, Lutetium 177...) and we also conduct research to support the development of radiopharmaceuticals (diagnostic, therapeutic and theragnostic) focusing on the preclinical studies.
More specifically we have expertise in pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, toxicology and dosimetry.
We have clustered our expertise in a medical campus which will offer the following services:
• Medical imaging platform
• Contract Research Organization (focusing on radiolabeling and preclinical studies for radiopharmaceuticals)
• Contract Manufacturing Organization (GMP certified production of isotopes)
In order to support this we have state of the art infrastructure such as a flexible and high flux irradiation reactor, hot labs, a hot animal facility including an imaging platform.
