Principal Investigator - VITO

Gökhan Ertaylan is a Principal Investigator at the Flemish Institute for Technological Research (VITO) in the Sustainable Health Unit. He has received a MSc degree in Bioinformatics and Genomics from Utrecht University and his PhD in Computational Systems Biology from University of Amsterdam on “HIV-Host Immune System Interaction” in 2011. Later he has joined  Luxembourg Center for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) in University of Luxembourg, as  a Marie Curie Grant Fellow studying Anoikis Resistance in Breast Cancer Metastasis. After successful finalization of his fellowship in 2015, he has moved to Maastricht Center for Systems Biology (MACSBIO) at Maastricht University, Maastricht as a Senior Researcher.

In 2018 he is appointed as a Principal Investigator at VITO Sustainable Health and he leads the efforts in I am Frontier project, deep phenotyping of healthy individuals longitudinally, to quantify transitions between health and disease and Data Driven Health and Prevention research line.
