Dr. Hans Van der Weken studied biochemistry and biotechnology at Ghent University and is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the laboratory of veterinary immunology. Here, he is investigating APN targeting as a novel route to deliver biomolecules to the intestine, with a primary focus on the oral delivery of vaccine antigens. His main interest lie in antibody production systems, protein engineering and mucosal immunology.
