Raf Buyle is information architect at Digitaal Vlaanderen. As an advisor in e-government strategy at the Flemish Government, Raf tries to implement a more rational, interoperable e-government, promoting open data, open standards and open processes. He is the chair of the Flemish interoperability programme ‘Open Standards for Linked Organisations’ (OSLO). Additionally, Raf is also a board member of Open Knowledge Belgium and a postdoctoral researcher at the Internet Technology and Data Science Lab (IDLab) at Ghent University. He is active in research into the potential of interoperability in the public sector from a technical, semantic, organisational and legal point of view.
